The Leadership Support role will provide a high level of administrative support Payroll & Accounting. Position will also support all Directors and Managers in the Corporate Services portfolio.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:
- What you'll be making - $25.30 to $29.12 per hour
- The above are initial rates; with grid increases per policy
- Internal staff members will be placed on the appropriate grid based on their current rate of pay, up to Level 8 of the grid
- When you'll work - 70 hours over two-week period; Hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Your pension plan - Immediately enrolled in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
- Your benefits will be – After a 90-day waiting period, will be enrolled in extended health care benefits
HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:
Payroll & Accounting:
- Assists with processing timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll for union and non-unionized employees (approximately 600 employees)
- Assists with setting up new hires into payroll system
- Assists with processing payroll changes including banking deposit information, employee movements, wage increases
- Calculates and enter Lieu benefits for Part-time employee
- Assist in payroll year end related tasks
- Produce payroll reports
- Backup for issuing ROEs (Record of Employment)
- Supports with ensuring mileage reports are approved and then keyed in for processing.
- Aids in ensuring all invoices are appropriately approved and scanned into accounting software so payments can be processed
- Aids in ensuring visa statements are approved and all receipts are submitted and scanned into accounting folder
- Assists in ensuring vendors are contacted to sign up for EFT payments for invoices
- Performs a variety of other administrative duties and support as required
Corporate Services Leadership Support:
- Maintains meeting schedules and calendars ensuring necessary background information and materials are gathered prior to meetings or appointments
- Interacts with all levels of staff and leaders within the organization to expedite action on behalf of the Corporate Services leadership
- Using independent judgement, responds to inquiries, internally and externally, ensuring appropriate actions, dissemination of information and follow-up as necessary
- Ensures deadlines are met by following up with stakeholders as appropriate
- Establishes and maintains confidential files and can accurately file and retrieve information from the system when requested
- Always maintains the strictest level of confidentiality and discretion
- Assists with grant proposal writing, official emails, letters and other professional writing-related activities
- Assists with the development and maintenance of spreadsheets
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY:
Criminal Record Check Requirements
Successful candidates must have a Criminal Record Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Criminal Record Check (CRC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as CRCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 4 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a CRC.
We require the following qualifications:
- Completed post-secondary education in Payroll, Human Resources or Accounting, or equivalent work experience (primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process i.e. original degree/diploma or official transcript)
- Current, satisfactory Criminal Record Check
We prefer the following qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience with payroll processing, human resources or accounting
- Experience working with a HRIS and/or Payroll software (Quadrant Workforce)
- Experience with MS Office software, Virtual Meeting tools, Dynamic GP, and office equipment including presentation equipment
